“If we are fortunate enough to experience the feeling widely known as ‘freedom’, it’s a message from those mortals and immortals before us urging us to leverage that distinct privilege by seeking out and helping those who (through no fault of their own) do not have it.”

Roberto Domino Basile     August 2017

“Arbitrarily labeling humans with colors or acronyms such as LGBTQ is a result of profound ignorance.

There is no such thing as black, brown, red, white, or yellow people.

Using colors and ‘behavioral slang’ to describe human beings destabilizes society and institutionalizes bias.”

Roberto Domino Basile     June 2019

Roberto Domino Basile was born in September in the latter half of the 20th century in Dearborn, Michigan USA and is of Italian descent (Calabrese). Raised in modest surroundings by his parents Dolores (Basile) and Virgil (Dahmen), he leveraged the U.S. federal student loan program earning a master’s degree from The University of Michigan (M.P.A.) and a baccalaureate degree from Wayne State University (B.Sc. cum laude). His music education included:

Berkeley School of Music | Boston, Massachusetts USA | 2024

University of Central Florida | Orlando, Florida USA | 2022-23

Prestige Performances School of Music | Shelby Township, Michigan USA | 2013-2016
An intensive 46-month 1:1 immersion [2013-16] with a maestro (a traditional way of music education in Italy) providing Mr. Basile a foundation in music theory, composition, and music performance

Roberto’s initial compositions included twenty-one musical works featuring a 9-minute symphonic poem entitled, ‘The Lion’ [an homage to Cecil the Lion of Zimbabwe who was lured out of a protected area and shot with a crossbow by Walter Palmer an American dentist who finished him off with a rifle on 01 July 2015]. While Roberto wrote the theme for ‘The Lion’ [Il Leone], the maestro he trained under provided a symphonic poem structure for the work that Roberto and he then produced. Roberto continues to produce and publish audio and cinematic works which includes his first eight music videos (2017-19). Roberto moved to Tampa, Florida in 2019 where he operates a record label [87records.com] and music publishing entity.
