In-Depth INTERVIEW | with Roberto Domino Basile
January 2020
Roberto Domino Basile recently released the music videos for “Preciosa,” “Silent Fire,” and “0–1 September.” All three are intensely beautiful compositions, conceived and composed by Basile with painstaking attention to both the music and the lyrics.
Once completed, Basile sought out consummate musicians and vocalists to perform the songs. The results go beyond glorious and enter the realm of ineffable, as Morgane Matteuzzi and Cristina Caro infuse the lyrics with exquisite life, which, along with the stylish visuals, expands the songs into sublime audio-visual encounters. VOCALIST UPDATE: The songs entitled ‘Preciosa’ and ‘Silent Fire’ released in 2018 and performed by vocalist Katie Jade, have been removed from publication to make way for a rewrite of the vocals in each piece. Specifically, in 3Q2020 mezzo-soprano and contralto vocal lines were written by Basile and added to each piece to complete the three-part vocal harmony. Each of the three vocal lines were performed by Berlin, Germany-based dramatic soprano Morgane Matteuzzi. Both songs were re-released in September 2020. Katie Jade (a pseudonym for a vocalist based out of Tennessee) is no longer included in any musical works associated with Brigantine Avenue Records. This is not a direct reflection on Jade but rather a much-needed correction on each piece and a return to 100% compliance to our policy regarding only collaborating with musicians who agree to use their legal or well-established industry names (as opposed to pseudonyms) in our productions.

SUN CITY CENTER, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Just as gems in the raw must be cut, polished, and set in their bezel, some masterworks take years to complete. An initial idea may strike a virtuoso in a flash of inspiration – but to express that idea properly, an artist may work tirelessly to refine in, ornament it, and make it shine. Orchestral music and art song, in particular, requires diligent attention to detail and uncommon personal sacrifice.

Although music has always been his absolute passion, Roberto Domino Basile was reticent when it came to sharing his gift with the world; he had to have it exactly right before he put himself out in the public eye. But now the time has come, and we have not one, not even two, but three of his songs – and accompanying videos – to share.
